New Two Day Workshops
The Wild and Windy Sea
Coming in 2020 a series of two day workshops that explore fabric painting and landscape quilting.
This first in this series of new workshops will be running on the 27th and 28th of March. It will take place in a local village hall situated less than 10 minutes away from the wonderful Heritage Coast which I am fortunate enough to call home.
The first one is called The Wild and Windy Sea. It will be run over two days. Day One will be devoted to fabric painting followed by Day Two which will involve making your own sea inspired piece from the fabric you have created.
While I have taught fabric painting workshops to many groups both at home and abroad, rather than just giving an overview of making fabrics for landscapes, I now want to be able to look at different subjects in more detail. This means focusing on the techniques and designs that depict the movement, depth and colour of the sea and the landscape around it.
If you think that this is something that you might be interested then these are the things that you need to know.
A two day course running from 10.00 am on the Friday 27th March and finishing on Saturday the 28th March at 4.00 pm.
The cost includes all fabric and paint, along with the tools and equipment needed as well as lunch, unlimited tea and coffee along with cake and biscuits of course.
You will need to bring your own sewing machine and threads, plus a few other items. Full details of these will be given upon booking, along with suggestions on thread choices.
The course is designed for those wishing to expand their textile art/art quilting skills. It is not a beginners class as you will be expected to have a full working knowledge of how to use your sewing machine along with the quilt structure and how to put it together.
You do not need to have experience of painting on fabric before this workshop.
Spaces are limited to ten places only.
Full payment is required at time of booking.
Once payment is received a confirmation email will be sent within 24 hours.
At this time you will also receive additional details about the area along with suggestions of possible place to stay and how to get here.
I am unable to offer accommodation or transportation. We are not well served by public transport and so you do need to have your own means of getting here.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have about this or any other matter.
